There are a lot of things in people’s daily lives that can add a ton of stress, and it can be hard trying to focus at work when you have a lot going on. However, there are some things you can do to help alleviate the stress and be more productive. Let’s take a look at what you can do to create a stress free workplace for yourself.

Create a Schedule of Breaks

Do Breathing Exercises Forbes states that if you feel anxious and overwhelmed, it’s a good idea to do some stress relief breathing exercises. This is something you can do right at your desk. Or, if you feel uncomfortable doing this in front of your co-workers, it’s okay to step out of the building for a minute and get things together. This will help to get rid of the workplace stress that might have been bringing you down.

Create a Relaxing Atmosphere

Making your desk or cubicle at work a place of bliss and happiness will help put your mind at ease. Using approved workplace decorations, or even essential oils, would be a nice touch to add to your space. You can pin up photos of your family, pictures of beaches, or play some soothing music while you work.

Eliminate any Interruptions

If you find yourself talking to your co-workers too often or searching for things on the internet, stop. Doing these things can hinder your productivity and can put more stress on yourself by trying to get work done on time. If you cut the chatting time back, even slightly, you’ll be able to get more done, creating a stress free workplace.
